If you have maintained all your communications with the old attorney, file a Legal Malpractice lawsuit against him. You can check yellow pages and contact a malpractice lawyer. Usually such cases are on contingency basis.
It will not save your 485 but you can recover significant amount of money as compensation from that attorney.
For your 485, check with your attorney if an appeal can be filed. I feel you have a strong ground since it was CIS fault.

My PD is Sept 2005 and EB3 India. With the new company I can file EB2. What will be your recommendation?
Keep in mind the consequences of the new bill. Any I-140s filed after May 21 (or 15 depends where you are reading) will be invalidated. If I was you and my PD is current, I would take the risk and hang in there, get I-485 filed and bite the bullet for 6 months or 1 year (again depending on how the bill turns out)

I have mentioned details about Murali Bashyam in some other post. I was introduced to him in a IAFPE seminar on immigration and stayed in touch with him for last three years (and he is finally on my file too). In my AC21 processing he helped me even though he was not my official attorney and did not charge me a penny. I found him a thoroughly gentle person and he always replies very promptly.

We all help each other on the forum by answering questions. Let us answer questions of members of our community and politely request the person asking the question, if your answer helped him. If it helped him, the member can consider contributing to Immigrationvoice.

My fear is that if I have an interview, I would fall to pieces and get so nervous to answer questions.
I also wonder if my entries from 1986 will show up when they check the records.
It probably will not show up, but if you think you will be that nervous then you may want to get an attorney. But your case looks ok. You have maintained status since your last entry.

my brother got recently married and his wife went to stamping in kolkata and they gave 221g for h4 and 2 days later they even cancelled my brothers exiting stamped H1 and his visa.he is in IT industry
any ideas whats next for him.

We were successful in getting good media coverage with flower campaign. Our San Jose rally is getting good regional coverage. Yes, we haven't had the expected success with national media yet but we are gaining traction at an amazing pace.
This is not a big corporation with some PR dept. that is working with hundred of employees writing press releases et al. Volunteers like you and me have to take on that action item if you want to see results otherwise please continue on with your discussion
That is absolutely right, it is our job to write to reporters and call them, if we want good publicity. Please digg, write to reporters, do not just wait on the sidelines and see if we have gotten any coverage. We wont get any by just being on the forums discussing.
On a second note, gsc999 worked very hard organising the San Jose rally, and personally I saw a lot of dedication on his part and some other members. People came upto him and asked him to arrange another rally next week. He answered it very well. Why dont people take ownership and organise things on their own, rather than just giving out suggestions and expecting other people to do the tough work.

And please remember one thing, if you are in a hurry and dont have time. you would not think about browing or searching, but post your quesiton. And who knows he might have even done his browsing and asking for experts opinion.
And IV is an org and it at their wish and will of individual whether to contribute or not.
so please do not force any one.

A simple Google search (or even the nice search-threads option on this forum) would have helped those people. Two things from that ESR article that I wish all posters understood:
When you ask your question, display the fact that you have done these things first; this will help establish that you're not being a lazy sponge and wasting people's time.
Never assume you are entitled to an answer. You are not; you aren't, after all, paying for the service. You will earn an answer, if you earn it, by asking a substantial, interesting, and thought-provoking question � one that implicitly contributes to the experience of the community rather than merely passively demanding knowledge from others.

Can a 485 applicant that has an approved EAD and a ssn apply for a student loan or does one need to be a US citizen or Permanent resident to qualify for student loans from financial organizations like Bank of America? Does anybody know?

Hi PVGanesh,
Establishing that one has had "five years of progressively responsible experience" is really more of an art than a science. Small details in wording or in context can sometimes be critical in painting an overall picture.
Remember that the USCIS adjudicator is not likely to be as tech savy as you are. While you may know that WXY technology is the same as, or includes XYZ technology, don't assume that the adjudicator will. Make sure everything is explained and documeted in easily understood layman's terms.
Similarly, if you worked for a small firm as a "Senior Systems Analyst" and then moved to a more responsible/demandining position in a larger firm where your title was "Systems Analyst", provide a clear and well documented explanation as to why the move represents represents career progress despite the lesser job title.
Whether or not to include your Certificates is a judgment call that can only be made after reviewing all of the experience documents in relation to the specific PERM requirements.
