This is looking down the stairs outside my office, saw this for the first time today. I had the wrong lens and no tripod, so I just shot a couple to get a feel for the motif. This was the least blurry of the bunch - handheld at 1/6s isn't my strongest skill. :)
What do you think, is this anything? It has been done a gadzillion times, but maybe one more is interesting? I'll go back this weekend when the place is empty, with a tripod, and get a bunch of different versions. Anything you'd advice in terms of composition, angle, lighting etc?

Q : I have received my receipt notice, but when I check my case online it does not appear. How do I get my case added to the system, so I can check on the progress of my case? NEW
We have had an unprecedented number of applications filed in the last few months. Our efforts to enter these applications into our systems have caused a delay in the transfer of information from our case control system to the Case Status Online system. We are seeing delays of up to three to four weeks between receipting of your application and its status being available online. We are reviewing solutions to resolve the situation as soon as possible
So it's possible your case hasn't been inputted yet.
My situation is ok. It was my error in putting in wrong receipt number..i'm ok with 4 receipt numbers, 4 cases ap/ead/140/485. It's in god's hands as to RFE or rejection though that would be a pain for uscis to cash all 4 checks then to reject/refund.

I just wanted to get some input from the veterans here who have started a business in partnership while they have been waiting for the coveted green card.
What kind of legal paperwork does it take to start a business? I would think as long as you don't work for the business it should be ok? If you can own part of a corporation (stocks), you can be a partner in a business?
Ideas?
If you are in H1B status, you can start your business by investing, but not working. You can not work for your business to get paid, but you can get profit sharing. In Wisconsin, when you register, you need a President/CEO who can legally work for your business. You can check with your state and register your business there. Probably, you even can register online in some state. Of cause, later on, you will need help from your accountant, laywer, etc.
If you have Green Card or EAD, that is not a problem to run by yourself.

Regarding your 1st issue...My lawyer advised me to attach the scan copy with 485, but definately have the originals in hand in case there is a RFE.
I don't want to take a chance, so Iam asking my parents to send it through 2nd day fedex as well. It will cost me maybe another Rs 2-3000, but what the hell..

Well I seem to have run into more confusion...
I've updated the firmware to 2.0 and I'm not sure if its changed the menu in the D70 or not but I was looking up the "exposure bracketing" that you suggested and on page 88 of the manual it shows (in the top image) the "Menu" opened with the (i believe its the Details tab, it has the small pencil), and then it shows the "12 BKT Set" titled at the top... followed by the Flash & Exposure settings below it... My menu doesn't show any of these... infact alot of my menu looks different than the manual since the update, which if I'm not mistaken was one of the updates within the firmware. Only now I don't know where to find what the manual shows.

Should we wait until my PD becomes current, to try to link our aplications? Is that necessary? Is there any danger that my husband's 485 application might get lost if USCIS denies our request to link his case to mine now since my PD is not current?
Don't know if this matters, but just this week, I got a RFE for employment verification. We have now sent necessary documents as requested by the dept.

I am planning to stay back for 1 more month ,i.e till end of July and try for a project. As it is near to impossible to get a H1 Transfer without a project, I would like to hold on for H1 Transfer for now. If l can manage to get a project ..say in 3rd or 4th week of July, can I be able to get a H1 Transfer approved without any issues or RFEs. My last paycheck was issued for the week ending June 28th, 2009. So I can provide a Paystub of only a prior month, if I apply for possible H1 Transfer. Will this be good enough .
Please advise whether staying for 1 more month after H1 Termination should be fine or not, from the perspective of Job Searching and H1 Transfer.

However I did not get any FP notice yet! Do you know if Biometrics is a requirement for issuing the physical green card and also any idea how long it takes to get the card from this point of time.

I have already moved to company B. Have an i-140 approved from company A in 09/2006. Now that my 6 years are over in 5 months, waiting for Fragomen to determine appropriate strategy for extension since new Perm has not been pending for 365 days. Anyone have experience with extending H1 using company A I-140 when with company B?

I need an info from some one who had filed AC21 with an attorney. I want to apply my AC21 and asked my attorney to do so. But he is asking for $1500.00. Is this amount normal or I was asked for an abnormal amount. I thought its just informing USCIS by sending a letter only. But, is he charging me $1500 just to draft a letter?
